Indianapolis Colts

Quick post before I leave the press box at FedExField. Here are 5 of my favorite shots I took during pre-game this evening. The Indianapolis Colts won a close one over the Washington Redskins, 27 – 24.

The Washington Redskins keep finding a way to make games close.

This week the Green Bay Packers brought a tough NFC test to FedExField. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw the ball all over the field, running back Brandon Jackson often ran with authority and the defense hurried and hit Redskins QB Donovan McNabb all game long.

But luckily for the Redskins and their fans, the team made adjustments at the half, the offense got moving late and the defense came up with a goal line stand and a big interception by safety LaRon Landry. I focused on Landry for my article on the Redskins official site this week.

Happy Columbus Day.

For the second straight week both the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins won on Sunday, and Immersion Active wins on Monday morning.

The Ravens handled the Denver Broncos by a score of 31 -17, behind another strong defensive showing and Ray Rice’s 133 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

Down the road at FedExField, the Redskins pulled out a game that they scratched and clawed to hang around in. Down to the Green Bay Packers by 10 in the 4th quarter the Redskins rallied to tie the game and then win it in overtime, 16-13. LaRon Landry made the big play of overtime, picking off Aaron Rodgers (and I will have a separate post linking to my Landry story for Redskins.com, shortly) and setting up Graham Gano’s game-winning FG.

And for the second straight week it is “Victory Monday” at Redskin Park in Ashburn, VA, at 1 Winning Drive in Owings Mills, MD and my office in Frederick, MD.

As promised I’ll bring in Fractured Prune donuts every Monday that both local NFL teams win. So now it’s two weeks in a row.

Keep it up guys, my co-workers, even those who don’t care about football, are now cheering for you.
